अथ चेत्त्वमिमं धर्म्यं संग्रामं न करिष्यसि | ततः स्वधर्मं कीर्तिं च हित्वा पापमवाप्स्यसि ||२-३३||

You are being warned about the spiritual danger of turning away from your dharma, your sacred duty. If you refuse to stand up for what is right, you will lose your honor and incur negative karma, the spiritual burden of wrong action. Do not abandon your path, for neglecting your duty brings only ruin.
2.33 But if you do not fight this righteous war, you will be turning away from your duty and honoured position, and will be incurring sin.
The Lord reminds Arjuna of the fame he had already earned and which he would now lose if he refused to fight. Arjuna had acired great fame by fighting with Lord Siva. Arjuna proceeded on a pilgrimage to the Himalayas. He fought with Siva Who appeared in the guise of a mountaineer (Kirata) and got from Him the Pasupatastra a celestial weapon.
अथ चेत् but if त्वम् thou इमम् this धर्म्यम् righteous संग्रामम् warfare न not करिष्यसि will do ततः,then स्वधर्मम् own duty कीर्तिम् fame च and हित्वा having abandoned पापम् sin अवाप्स्यसि shall incur.
