Jnana Yoga

ज्ञानयोग

स एवायं मया तेऽद्य योगः प्रोक्तः पुरातनः | भक्तोऽसि मे सखा चेति रहस्यं ह्येतदुत्तमम् ||४-३||

sa evāyaṃ mayā te.adya yogaḥ proktaḥ purātanaḥ . bhakto.asi me sakhā ceti rahasyaṃ hyetaduttamam ||4-3||

In plain words

You should feel deeply loved and chosen because the highest spiritual secrets are revealed through love and friendship. By approaching the divine with bhakti, which is loving devotion, you unlock the supreme mystery of life. This ancient wisdom is shared with you not as a dry philosophy, but as a personal gift of grace.

Translation

4.3 It is the same ancient Yoga which is now taught to you by Me, as you are My devotee and My friend. For, this is a supreme mystery.

Meaning

This Yoga contains profound and subtle teachings. Hence it is the supreme secret which is revealed by the Lord.

Word by word

सः that एव even अयम् this मया by Me ते to thee अद्य today योगः Yoga प्रोक्तः has been taught पुरातनः ancient भक्तः devotee असि thou art मे My सखा friend च and इति thus रहस्यम् secret हि for एतत् this उत्तमम् best.
